Being a water person doesn’t particularly mean swimming; stand up paddle boarding is the perfect friendly sport for summer time this year especially with the rise of inflatable SUPs’ users. If you think about it for a minute, you’ll know why; inflatable stand up paddle boards are made to simulate the authentic ones but with more features, options, and a larger range of activities.
SportsStuff Paddle Board
A good purchase is one that will save you the trouble of separately looking for items and accessories; an all-inclusive package is never a bad idea when you’re going for a SUP and that’s why we have here the Sportsstuff 1030 Adventure Stand Up Paddleboard with everything you need to handle it.
The Sportsstuff 1030 Adventure is 10.6 feet tall, 30 inches wide and 4 inches thick; it’s suitable for all riders’ levels as well as the variety of different activities which it can cover thanks to its all-round design. Taking into consideration that the this board is 4 inches thick, the weight capacity given to it is to 250 lbs which is pretty good for one rider and a pet or some extra cargo on board.
This board as you can see in the picture comes in bright colors that are meant to appeal to a wide range of people. You’ll find a large EVA deck pad traction which makes maneuvering or changing directions more controlled thanks to its anti-skid texture. Also, a central carry handle is featured to help you carry the inflated board around easily.
In addition to that, and as part of the package, a high pressure hand pump, pressure gauge, and a valve wrench; they all work together to inflate the board up to 15 psi which is perfectly enough to enjoy a stiff inflatable paddle board. The valve wrench is the safest option when you want to deflate the board which makes it a great add to the package.
Further, the Sportsstuff 1030 Adventure is featured with 8 stainless steel D-rings; 4 of them are attached with bungee cord which will allow you to secure anything you need to the board, the other 2 are added to support the kayak seat, and the last one is on the board’s tail as to attach the included safety leash. It’s a complete set of awesome features if you ask me (It also has another D-ring on the bottom of the bow that you can use to tow the board).
Now, the kayak seat is designed to match the colors of the SUP as it’s also built to provide you with as much back support as possible. All you have to do is to attach the hooks at the end of its 2 straps to the previously mentioned D-rings and get to enjoy a comfortable kayak-style paddling tour.
Furthermore, in this package you’re going to receive a 3-piece adjustable aluminum paddle which floats. Yes; if that is to mean anything, it means that you’ll never lose your paddle to the water which is amazing; one more thing to not worry about. Also, the fact that if breaks into 3 pieces makes packing it an easy process especially that you can simply fit it the backpack.
Last but not least, the SportsStuff 1030 Adventure comes with a cool mesh backpack which is very functional and easy to use; the zipper can be opened from end to end so that fitting the deflated and rolled up board in it becomes a piece of cake. The mesh part makes sure that the board gets enough air as to keep it dry and clean with no smells.
With that said, finding a place for your board and its accessories shouldn’t a problem with this backpack because you can fit all of it in it as it only takes a small space to be stored.
Pros
- The Sportsstuff 1030 Adventure comes in an all-inclusive package.
- It comes in a colorful design which suits the summer’s spirit.
- The included paddle is one that floats so you never lose it.
- A kayak seat is included in the package which is a great add.
Cons
- Our only complaint about this inflatable SUP board is that it’s only 4″ inch thick. However, as long as you weigh less than the board’s weight limit (250 lbs), the board won’t flex at the center.

Want to get my first paddle board for lake use. We camp, jetski, tube, kneeboard and wake board. Have been reading your reviews and narrowed down to sportsstuff 1030, Vilano navigator, and zray x1. Will probably have to buy 2 to avoid fighting over it so price/value is big. What is your opinion to help us out. Thanks
Hi Kelli,
All of these three inflatable paddle boards are pretty good. They’re priced relatively the same, have the same weight load, same features…etc. The design is the only thing different. So, It all boils down to personal preference.
Hi James,
Do you have any information on the fin? I need a new one and I would like dimensions or somewhere that sells a cheap replacement.
Thank you
Hi Julian,
You can find many fins on Amazon but I don’t recommend going for a cheap one.
Best regards
I have been looking for a replacement fin for this everywhere. The actual part is out of stock at the manufacturer. Any ideas?
Hi Robin,
I just checked the manufacturer website and the replacement fin is out of stock. If you don’t want to wait until it’s back in stock, you can try to find a compatible fin from other manufacturers. If you could send me a picture of your broken fin I’d help you find a compatible replacement fin.
Hi , I’m also looking for the fin replacement because somehow my grown kids don’t know what happen to it ?
