This review is about the Ocho Rios 1030 by Sportsstuff. First things first; this iSUP board is 10.6 feet tall, 30 inches wide and 4 inches thick; it’s a light board of 25 lbs and which can easily take up a weight of 220 lbs.

The Ocho Rios 1030 is all-round inflatable SUP board that is made of high grade materials and workmanship which will make it last and preserve its shape and performance. When inflated; it’s stiff and rigid as it’ll support your weight because it doesn’t bend easily.
In addition to that, 2 thirds of the Ocho Rios 1030’s back is covered with a great EVA traction pad which works as it should; it’ll help you maintain your balance and boost your stability on board. Mention not the fact that it is made to keep your feet comfortable during your long distance touring. Also, a central carry handle is featured to facilitate carrying the inflated board around.
Speaking of which, you’ll find a high pressure pump with gauge and valve wrench to make inflating the board an easy safe process. The pump works fine to be honest but I always prefer to use my electric pump. Also, I recommend you to always use the valve wrench to open or close the valve because it’s easier and safer for you and for the board.
Now, an essential item for stand up paddle boarding is definitely the paddle. The Ocho Rios 1030 comes with a 3-piece adjustable aluminum paddle which can be easily fitted to the best length of different rides. I must mention that this paddle has a fiberglass reinforced blade which makes it really durable and light weighted so that you can experience the swiftest and smoothest stroke. Another good thing about this paddle is that you can break it down into 3 pieces and pack it anywhere; piece of cake.
Moreover, the Ocho Rios 1030 is featured with one central removable fin which when detached makes rolling up the deflated board an easy thing. This board is made for swift water cruising; thus, the fin is one part which boosts its performance especially when it comes to long distance touring in flat water.
Unlike usual, the Ocho Rios 1030 is not featured with D-rings and bungee cords; they would have worked fantastically for those times where you need to carry extra cargo with you such as cooling drinks, sandals …etc. However; one D-ring that found its way to the board’s tail as to allow you to connect a safety leash to it if desired, while another one is located on the bottom of the board and it’s meant to be used to tow the board.
Finally, the Ocho Rios 1030 comes with a very useful and practical mesh backpack. It’s comfortable to carry thanks to its padded straps, as it makes sure the board stays dry inside of it. I love this kind of bags because it takes into consideration that a paddler might be on the move and won’t have time to dry up the board before packing it. This way, you’ll find that iSUP boards are the best and most practical option for pleasure boaters, city dwellers and travelers with no sacrifice in performance; you’ll be paddling more often with the Ocho Rios 1030.
You’ll find a repair kit included if ever needed.
Pros
- The Ocho Rios 1030 comes in an all-inclusive package.
- It features an all-round design which makes it stable and relatively fast on flat water.
- The paddle that comes with the board is adjustable & breaks down into 3 pieces, while the blade is made of light weighted and reinforced fiberglass.
- The included mesh backpack is one of the best options for a SUP board; it keeps it dry and fresh.
Cons
- The only downside we can reasonably think of besides the 4 inch in thickness is that the Ocho Rios 1030 is lacking those multiple D-rings attached with a bungee cord for those who need to carry extra cargo on board.
